LEWES - Showroom and Trade Manager

Sales and Showroom Manager (full-time or substantial part-time considered)

 

As an innovative kitchen and furniture design startup we are looking for strong support for our team in Lewes.

Your task:

 

  • Creation of estimates and invoices and advice to our customers
  • Responding to customer enquiries promptly
  • Serving the customers in the showroom
  • Preparation of plans with customers
  • Managing the showroom
  • Liaising closely with our workshop which is located locally and produce complete working drawings and product list for manufacturing for each job, and update them on any changes acting as the liaison between client and workshop
  • Development of concepts to improve the customer experience
  • General day to day administration
  • Research and advise the company directors on selecting a kitchen design programme and participate in training for the programme selected
  • Liaison with magazine and other interior publications editors and writers and send them information and images as required.

 

What you should bring:

  • Ideally a Degree or other recognised qualification in Design, Architecture,   Business or Economics
  • Great communication skills
  • Passion for design and architecture
  • High level of empathy and intelligence
  • Trustworthy, honest and friendly appearance
  • Outstanding English, spoken and written
  • Demonstrated skill in photography and interior styling would be a bonus
  • Ability to self-organise and a very reliable and efficient way of working
  • A keen interest in learning about woodwork and materials and an interest in eco design and building solutions
  • Fancy a start-up atmosphere with a lot of freedom and a lot of responsibility

Joiner/Cabinetmaker/ Bespoke Kitchen and Furniture Workshop 

As an innovative kitchen and furniture design startup we are looking for strong support for our team in Lewes.

 Would you like to become part of Custom Fronts Ltd and help to shape the future of the startup almost from the start?

Experienced Cabinetmaker/ kitchen maker/ specialist joiner wanted for bespoke design and kitchen workshop.

Experience in other fields other than purely bench-joinery would be seen as an advantage

You will be joining our small but busy and creative workshop working with expert craftsmen for our successful and expanding business. We work with a lot of designers and architects and have been featured in national interiors magazines and need someone with an excellent eye for detail.

This is a full time position, based just outside Lewes.

Qualifications and Skills

- Essential to be a fully competent experienced maker of at least 3- 5 years or more experience

- Experience of woodworking machinery is essential.

- Trustworthy, honest and friendly appearance

- Outstanding English, spoken and written

- Ability to self-organise and a very reliable and efficient way of working, and be capable of working independently or as part of a team

- Fancy a start-up atmosphere with a lot of freedom and a lot of responsibility

Benefits

Trial period of 6 months initially with excellent potential to create a permanent post

Job Type: Full-time of at least 40 hours

Holiday pay and contractual sick pay

Salary: dependent on experience

Job Location: Lewes, East Sussex
