Maintenance of our Wood veneered Fronts
It’s very important to maintain the fronts as they are real wood.
We use oil for a variety of reasons. One benefit is that your fronts can be refreshed, meaning your kitchen will not only last for years but, with the correct maintenance, look as good as the day it arrived.
DO NOT USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS. DO NOT USE ANYTHING ABRASIVE
Most household cleaners are designed to remove grease and oil. This means that using a generic household cleaner will strip your fronts of the oil we use to protect them.

Recommended products for maintenance
Remember to select the colour that matches the finish you have on your kitchen:
Maintenance oil and liquid wax cleaner are available in white or clear.
For white-oiled or Raw oiled kitchens, use the white product.
For natural or coloured fronts, use the clear product.
We only oil Fenix and Forbo on the sides; use the product which matches your finish.
Osmo spray cleaner
For regular cleaning of your fronts we recommend using Osmo spray cleaner for oiled and waxed interior wood.
That is ideal for wood worktops, doors, furniture & more

Dries to a streak-free finish
And is Low V.O.C
This is also available as an anti-bacterial version.
The following products are advised to be used for regular maintenance. Just wipe over with a rag whenever the fronts start to look or feel dry or lacklustre.
Liquid Wax Cleaner
Intensive cleaning and refreshing
Available in clear for natural oiled fronts or white for white or raw oiled fronts.
Liquid Wax Cleaner, cleans and regenerates the wood at the same time.
Removes tough stains such as grease and shoe polish
Maintains protected surfaces without wear of treatment
Easy to use for occasional use
Provides the wood with natural hard waxes without forming a film on the surface

Occasional use to Refresh heavily used areas
Available in clear sheens for natural oiled fronts or white for raw or white oiled fronts

Why oil?
Your fronts are finished with Osmo Natural Wax Oil. The reason we choose to use oil as opposed to lacquers or varnishes is that they can be refinished time and again. Oil will not crack, peel or flake. Your kitchen’s life is endless with the right care and maintenance! If scratched, stained or damaged, other finishes would require completely sanding back and refinishing. If you scratch, stain or damage your oiled fronts, you can sand the area and reapply the oil, making touch-ups very easy.
