Where Art Meets Nature: Our Bamboo Linear in artists' Atelier Achter's home.

Our warm bamboo linear kitchen is a grounding force in a home full of art, design, and playful creativity, yet deeply rooted in nature.

For the clients, founders of the floral art practice Atelier Achter, the bamboo embodies their connection to nature while providing a grounding contrast to the surreal, abstract nature of their floral compositions. Their work, a dreamlike exploration of nature’s beauty, is complemented by natural, honest materials like our bamboo, creating a harmonious dialogue between art, design, and sustainability. Our linear warm bamboo fronts from our Elementals Range, added to simple IKEA Metod kitchen cabinets, sit within the light-filled extension designed by Unknown Architects, subtly anchoring the more whimsical elements of the space, tying everything together with a sense of quiet creativity.

Our Bamboo Linear fronts were chosen for their warm tone, vertical grain, and sustainable credentials. Bamboo is a fast-growing, regenerative material that locks in carbon and has a simple, timeless beauty of its own. The vertical lines of the bamboo echo the ribs and clean lines of the charred wood extension, creating a cohesive connection between the kitchen and the architectural forms around it. This continuity adds a sense of flow and balance to the space, tying together the natural textures with the structured design.

In a home where nature and creativity converge, the owners, whose own work is inspired by nature - have curated a space that reflects their artistic vision and sustainable values. From the pink Chubbi chair by Kooji, made from recycled plastics, to our Linear Bamboo kitchen from our Elementals range, which, with its regenerative materials and quiet design presence, mirrors their commitment to art, nature, and sustainability. The kitchen, like their artwork, is both a creative expression and a conscious choice.

The extension is simple but striking - clad in charred timber, with carefully placed windows and a generous roof light that floods the space with natural light. The kitchen sits beneath this light well, creating a calm and functional centre to the space, with views out to the garden and beyond.

For homes like this - where design is about balance, not excess - our Bamboo Linear fronts offer a natural, low-impact way to create a kitchen that feels connected, considered, and beautifully easy to live with.
