What is the Circular Economy?
Most things today are made in a straight line: we take materials, make products, use them, and then throw them away. That’s called a linear economy. It leads to waste, pollution, and products that don’t last.
The recycling economy is a bit better - some things get recycled, but many are still thrown away, and recycling often takes lots of energy.
The circular economy is different. It’s about designing products to last, be reused, repaired, and eventually recycled with as little waste as possible. Nothing is wasted. Everything has another life.
That’s the kind of kitchen we make.
Our 5 Circular Commitments
1. Refuse
We refuse to use harmful materials or make things that are designed to break. Our designs are simple, timeless, and carefully made to avoid waste.
2. Reduce
We only make what’s needed. No overproduction. We cut materials efficiently to reduce waste.
3. Reuse
Our kitchens are modular - designed to be taken apart and used again, whether you're moving house or just updating things.
4. Repair
Our finishes can be refreshed. We offer a repair and refinishing service so your kitchen can keep going strong for years - no need to throw it away.
5. Recycle
At the very end of its life, every part of our kitchen can be reused or responsibly recycled.
Circular by Design
We choose materials and systems that support the circular economy from the start:

FSC-certified Nordic birch plywood: Strong, stable, and uses more of the tree than solid wood. Birch regenerates relatively quickly compared to walnut or oaks, for example.

FSC-certified Bamboo: An incredibly fast-growing, renewable material that doesn’t need replanting.

IKEA-compatible: Our doors fit IKEA’s METOD system - modular, adaptable, and easy to reuse.

Demountable fixings: Our kitchens go together and come apart easily.

Sample returns: We offer a full refund on returned samples - and many are passed on by our customers.
